This school provided a much better experience when Patrick Smith served as principal. Since the change in leadership, there has been a noticeable decline in the school's environment. Incidents of bullying appear to have increased, and many parents feel that these concerns are not being addressed effectively.While Assistant Principal Kennedy has made efforts to help, there seems to be limited ability to bring about meaningful change. Many parents, including members of the parent committee, have expressed concerns that the current administration is not sufficiently receptive to parent feedback.Based on our experience, some families may feel that communication and support from the administration depend on personal relationships rather than being applied consistently to all students and families.In addition, there are ongoing concerns regarding racism and the overall school climate. We hope that the district will take these issues seriously and work toward creating a safer, more inclusive, and supportive environment for all students. GERALT

While it clearly needs more ethnic diversity, the school has an excellent learning atmosphere. It is perfect for pursuing Foreign Language, English, Math and Computer Science, or Athletics. Heritage is one of the best choices that you could make. A lot of opportunities present themselves here.

My experience working at this school was very disappointing. The staff culture felt cliquish and unwelcoming, and some staff members were rude rather than supportive or collaborative. It created an environment where it was difficult to feel valued as an employee.One of my biggest concerns was student behavior. Serious behavior issues were not addressed consistently, and there appeared to be few meaningful consequences for students whose actions repeatedly disrupted the classroom or created safety concerns. This left staff to manage difficult situations with limited support and made it challenging to provide a positive learning environment for the students who were there to learn.I hope the school takes steps to improve its workplace culture, prioritizes staff and student safety, and implements consistent, effective behavior expectations and accountability.
