Read what parents are saying about The Blake SchoolExceptional school in every way. This is an elite , rigorous program that provides outstanding experience. By elite I mean in the sense of elite academic performance. It’s sensitive to diversity and inclusion. The students have a close relationship with their classmates, like extended family. The teachers and staff are incredible. They are 100% committed to students and exceptionally responsive to parents. Each class and each grade is one part of an overall plan, that is beautifully executed on every level. Highly recommend The Blake school, it puts your child on a completely different trajectory in life.
Posted by a parent on 7/19/2022Blake has really been a great place for our kids, and especially during Covid, they were well prepared with distance learning and hybrid models that evolved with the current pandemic status. A high percentage of the kids are involved in music and sports, which is open to anyone who is interested. The teachers are amazing, and continue to keep in contact with their students even when they move on to the next level. The homework is rigorous, but teachers offer extra help during daily tutorial sessions. English and Social Studies emphasize critical thinking and teamwork. There are options to skip math levels and multiple points of entry to the honors program. The teachers and general parent community tend to be more liberal. Bullying is not tolerated.

Posted by a community member on 3/14/2020Ich bin sechszehn Jahre alt und ich bin lerne Deutsch. Das Schul hilft mein Lehrbuch und es ist schlecht. Was wissen wir ist nicht gross und das ist schlecht. Sprecht Deutsch hier gut Mann oder Frau? Nein? Ich weiss nicht. Ich glaube nicht. Haben besser, bitte. Danke,Ein Deutsch lerne Jungenschlide

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are in the process of pulling all three of our children out of Alice Smith (after loving the school under Mrs. D). Our experience with the new principal and leadership has been horrible and incredibly disappointing. We are so sad to have experienced how much things have changed. Special education students in particular will not have their needs met. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom the moment you enter the building, you know that this place cares for your child. The staff meeting the kids at the doors are always smiling and welcoming the kids. They greet the students by name. The teachers are top notch. Teacher Ming Yang and Pang Yang from the Chinese immersion are excellent. The ancillary teaching staff who help the kids on a daily basis are very friendly. The bus drivers seem to have a frequent turnover but nevertheless efficient. Even the staff at the front desk are very kind. Principal Melissa Ness is very responsive and involved. We had a problem at the beginning of the school year which she helped us take care of and didn't recur ever since. She is very honest, approachable and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Eisenhower Elementary School. My daughter is always excited to go to school. She loves her teachers and classmates. She enjoys learning Chinese and Math. They are both VERY compfortable speaking in front of huge groups of people and he believes that this comes from all the opportunities they were given for public speaking at JIS.Parent Review13y ago
