We are in the process of pulling all three of our children out of Alice Smith (after loving the school under Mrs. D). Our experience with the new principal and leadership has been horrible and incredibly disappointing. We are so sad to have experienced how much things have changed. Special education

Mrs. D has left, and with her so has many of the characteristics that made Alice Smith a wonderful, diverse, family friendly neighborhood school. The current leadership seems determined to destroy what Mrs. D and the staff valued for Smith students and

Posted by a parent on 11/19/2018Our experience has been wonderful. The community and atmosphere at the school is inviting and exciting. Everyone at the school is so friendly and loving, and the teachers and principal are just plain great at their jobs. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Eisenhower and we are so glad it is our neighborhood school. Our children are in Juntos Spanish immersion and the teachers are nothing but absolutely wonderful. The teachers and staff genuinely care about the children. As someone who has worked in urban school districts, I feel a lot can be said about about the happiness of teachers, and the teachers seem genuinely glad to be there which indicates a well-run and supportive school. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my kids attend FAM and our family is very happy with the whole experience so far. My daughter is in Maternelle and my son is in the tout petit program. FAM exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t be happier! The school is well established and very well equipped. Our daughter is thriving at FAM both socially and academically and our son is cared for by loving nurturing teachers and staff. The teachers are wonderful, highly educated and attentive. I feel my daughter is getting a high quality, one on one education in a safe and creative environment. She enjoys the after school soccer and piano lessons. The before and after school program is an amazing addition for parents with a busier lifestyle. My daughter understands and speaks french like natives and moreover we are very pleased with the diverse multicultural experience they’re exposed to everyday.
