School year started off great. My daughter lost her shoe at the school I called the school as well as asked the bus driver. No one knew where her shoe was, I called again the next day to be informed that no one looked for her shoe I was then hung up on, only to be called ask by the

Average experience. The school is being stretched and going through lots of changes. The district is spending to much money on sticks and bricks and forgetting about the fundamentals. Extremely disorganized environment/classrooms. "Unstructured" learning leaves my son lost, needs structure. Teachers are distant, not engaged, self-important.

I have had 2 boys go through Highlands in the discovery program and have loved the school. Class sizes can be big, often over 30 but the teachers are wonderful. They loop for 1st/2nd grade and 3rd/4th grade which really works well for the kids and the year gets off to a quick effortless start in sep
