The principal and one of the tenured kindergarten teachers need professional development in their communication and problem solving skills. It’s hard to find resolution and advocate for my child when pride seems to take precedence over listening.

She makes time to talk and get to know her students and their parents. Every teach we have had in the last 5 years at Twain has been beyond our dreams as far as attitude and how they teach. I heard horrid stories from parents in other districts during covid shutdown and I could not say enough positive things about out school. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat a disappointing experience with this school. My son has an IEP, instead of his teacher showing any support I was met with constant criticisms and suggestions on how to parent MY child which is out of line. The irony is, I would have liked to criticize her teaching because I believe she could have done better. I wish he could have had a better teacher to perhaps have a better experience. After months of back and forth with the teacher, I tried to reach out to the principal. He was completely unhelpful and utterly dismissive. He acted if the situation was no big deal and not worth coming into discuss. The “leadership” here failed again and again with zero ramifications.
