Posted by a parent on 9/10/2014The school ranks low as far as being proactive and they are very reactive. They do not encourage tutoring and is not trained on helping kids exceed to the next level. Very dissatisfied with the principal as well. No leadership.

Parents befriended us when our son's previous school's basketball team played SCS' 5th grade squad. That was our first experience with the community. The sincerity and attunement to whole-child development we witnessed then extended to our child's enrollment. He feels safe, seen and respected. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school keeps the kids engaged and excited with extracurricular activities. The teachers are professional, well rounded, and you can tell they care about providing an adequate education to all kids. Even though the standardized test scores reflect low scores it does not define the wealth of knowledge my kids have obtained at the school.
