If your child has a disability don't send them there, they'll try and get the child out of the school as quickly as they can. Also switched schools for my daughter due to multiple issues of sexual harassment. School doesn't allow children's counselors to come

Classes are filled with busywork and doesn't properly assess ones knowledge. The counselors are counseling many students at one time, which has multiple negative impacts. It seems like all
Posted by a community member on 4/1/2021This school is way too big. Children who aren't in the AP classes are left behind. It seems that Heritage wants to compete with SASA, but that isn't what they are supposed to be: They are supposed to be a public school which is concerned for all students.
Posted by a parent on 3/7/2018Easily the top High School in the area for academics and athletics. The teachers are great, the IB Program is something that no other schools around offer, and the quality of learning is above the area's other schools.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have loved having our daughter at Sherwood soo much! The entire staff works so tirelessly to make sure each childs individual needs are met. They have a variety of programs to help the ones who need extra help like our girl Ryleigh did. I truly believe her success in coming so far is accredited to her teachers and all the professionals there. I cant thank them enough. Everyone is so kind too. We also adore Ms. Darcy for greeting the kiddos with a smile each & every day. Im so thankful that the fierst thing my daughter sees is someone waiting at the door with a warm, sincere welcome. You can meet new friends.And if you have any disabilities the teacher would come and help you. And the fun things are closer to the end of the school year. There are many fun surprises waiting for the kids who come to the school. There are never any problems at the school. There are no fights or stuff like that.There are many fun field trips to places, including some plays. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn the beginning it wasn't bad. Over the course of the year there were some changes that we weren't exactly thrilled about. After the 2nd year there, bullying was a very big issue that was not dealt with. We opted for a private school to avoid these problems, only to deal with them more so than we had when our kids were in public school. Staff refused to handle the situation, even the teacher was disappointed in the principals lack of concern and correction.
