Hello, Current parent i would not recommend Hazel park district at all every day there are new policies being put into place without it being documented they target students from a certain demographic they force kids to play with each other supporting emotional distress on kids what they say goes because its their district and they can do as please constantly having to advocate for my child to be treated as a human being nothing gets done admin over steps their boundaries getting in kids faces yelling at them in order to get anything done you have to contact super which even then that does nothing.. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS DISTRICT THEY HAVE THEIR GOOGLE REVIEWS OFF FOR A REASON I WILL BE PULLING MY CHILD FROM THIS DISTRICT BEFORE IT ESCALATES!!!!! THEY DONT SUPPORT YOUR CHILDS NEEDS JUST WHAT THEY THINK YOU WANT TO HEAR AND THEY ARE A FAMILY IN CHARGE OF HIGH ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS RESEARCH HAZEL PARK!!!

The staff is amazing!!!! They go above and beyond for the students. The PTA does so much for the kids and staff. It really is like school family so that last review we all have that one Aunt. I love the school you will too!

Keller is a great school with the best teachers!

Throughout the entire school year, parents were only allowed inside the building twice. As a parent, I would like more opportunities to become familiar with the environment where my children spend so much of their time. The school is always doing things for money but I’m not putting money into a place that I haven’t seen their bathroom or a tour of the library or anything for that matter Lunchtime feels rushed, and on the playground my children have repeatedly reported being physically harmed by other students with little to no intervention. They come home almost daily sharing that they were assaulted by a peer, yet no action was taken.Transportation and pickup have also been challenging. On one occasion, when I accidentally blocked the driveway slightly, the bus driver responded by yelling, waving her hands aggressively, and honking excessively. Respectful communication should always be the standard. Additionally, the staff member with black hair who manages the front of the pickup line is consistently yelling at both parents and students, which creates an unwelcoming environment.I am also concerned with communication from the nurse’s office. My children have visited the nurse without me being notified. Regardless of whether the issue is minor, I need to be informed of any situation involving their health, especially since their full medical history is not on file.Overall, I feel there needs to be greater transparency, respect, and accountability within the school community. As a parent, I expect a safe, respectful, and communicative environment for my children, and I hope improvements are made moving forward.

While it has been a few years since my children attended four corners, I feel that this review is necessary, especially for the school to be aware of the depth of my disappointment. I had three children attend four corners at the same time. My oldest son was a special needs student which they could not accommodate. And he ended up having to drop out because they simply could not provide any special needs or special education services My daughter recently let me know that she had been inappropriately touched by another student while attending. And perhaps I cannot directly hold the school responsible. I still feel that that effort should have been made to mitigate this kind of risk And finally my youngest who I happen to see be pushed by his teacher while I was walking by the hallway. And overall my youngest was at times treated unfairly. For example, at one point he was falsely accused by another student and the teacher, without really looking into the matter was the culprit. Meanwhile, overall, the school administration lacked either the resources or the prioritization to address my parent concerns. Throughout the times that I was there. They were slow to respond. This school, staff, administration should be fired and the school shut down. The bullying, fighting and name calling is terrible. The staff closes their eyes to itDon't send your kid there. They will be permanently scared.
