St. Genevieve Elementary School

They got rid of one of the best teachers they had in a long time. My daughter enjoyed working with her special education teacher and I found out her boss was the reason. Huge mistake. Therefore, I pulled all my kids.

My grandchild goes here and she will not be attending next year. This school allows bullying and my grandchild comes home often complaining about being bullied. She cant even learn for being bullied. No matter how much my daughter screams and shouts they do nothing. Her teacher is EXTREMELY LAZY as well.

We love Coolidge. Great teachers, safe, lots of opportunities to be involved.

I wish more parents would write updated reviews because this school is a complete joke. They refuse to give my daughter an IEP because of attendance, even though her attendance issues are part of her struggles and are connected to her diagnosis.The new psychologist is very rude and undermining. She talks down to parents, belittles them, and doesn't want to hear what is really happening. There seems to be a refusal to give many students IEPs. There are about six families at just our bus stop complaining about the same issue.The PTA is boring, and there are no fun field trips. I emailed my daughter's teacher several times asking how she was doing and how she felt she had progressed on her i-Ready scores, but I never received a response.Don't think about posting a complaint about the school or issues with a teacher on the Livonia Schools Facebook page, because they know exactly who you are and will treat you with disrespect.This school is not about the kids. Make sure to tell your kids not to even try their best on state testing, and vote no on millages!

We love Branch Line School! We have been here for 4 years now with my 2 daughters who attend. Both of my daughters have thrived in the small school environment here. Class sizes are small and it is project based which offers lots of hands on opportunities. Focus is placed on learning and meeting each child where they are. Instruction is usually done in small groups so teachers can teach to each child’s ability level. Our girls have done so well here and have made so much progress academically. The teachers and aides are very kind and actually care about the kids. Every day as we walk in, my daughters are greeted by name as the walk in the building by teachers and staff; some they have not even had for class yet. The small school environment has allowed us to make friendships and connections with other families here. My two girls actually enjoy going to school which is huge! The new building next year will be fantastic and we are excited. Highly recommend this school!
