Read what parents are saying about Frost Middle SchoolI would just like to state experiences can vary for anyone but always rely on how much effort you yourself put in to help yourself if you every get bullied get a councilor (they are very helpful in academics as well), if you have academic troubles ask a teacher they will never give up on you and they will always help if you don't understand something, My personal experience was amazing this school is one of the best schools in this district if not county or state. (keyword one) This school will help and prepare you for high school, offers some of the best classes and in certain circumstances offers high school credits (if you are in Macat or take a language), houses a great academic program, has fantastic teachers who will never give up unless you do, councilors who will prepare you for the future and staff that are just amazing.
Posted by a student on 2/1/2018It's been a wonderful experience. They have a great MACAT program for the accelerated kids.
Posted by a parent on 7/13/2017The teachers do not have standard rules on how all children should be punished. They pick and choose. When questioned they continue to justify their actions. I 100% dislike LPS and will find a school who wants to teach a school of diversity without prejudice.
Posted by a parent on 5/21/2014Frost was great for both our son and daughter. The teachers were approachable and willing to do whatever necessary to help our kids succeed. The school offers many extracurricular activities that appeal to all different types of kids.
Posted by a parent on 9/16/2013We have been very happy at Frost. I have found my son's teachers very responsive to any questions or concerns. Whenever I email, I always get a response back within an hour or two. They are approachable and available whenever I need. They have always clarified any questions or concerns I may have. At this age, students are expected to become more responsible for themselves and I do not expect a phone call or email about every incident. He needs to start to handle some issues himself. Any problems of importance, I have been immediately notified.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is a current student here. They do not treat their minority students equal. I have a friend who son teacher didn’t even know he had an attention disorder till she brought it up to the teacher. The school ESP and school board blamed her for the teacher not knowing. My son experience at this school has been nothing short of horrible. There are other parents there who have also contacted other school districts to get their children out. Livonia public schools has not changed since I was a student there.Parent Review1y ago - Grant Elementary School

This year's teacher is very clearly new and does not have control over her classroom. It has been a pretty bad experience for my child. So much so, that she now hates to go to school every day.Parent Review1y ago - Montessori Center Of Our Lady

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageit’s an okay school. im not sure if i feel the safest, though. if youre a public schooler, say in like elementary, and come here when you get into middle school, there is unfortunately going to be some pressure put on you. and some of the kids are going to be rude, and sometimes the teachers ignore it. personally, i will be sending my kids to a public school, because my experience here is not so good. i dont have a problem with the teachers, though, i think they are okay. i just dont agree with how they think mental illness is a hoax. or how we are in the same classes every year with the same kids. there are some scary scenarios here and there, but everyone has been safe. all im gonna say is, be safe, be yourself, stick up for yourself no matter what, and be kind.Other Review4mo ago - St Michael Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has been the single most important and successful decision we have made for our children. They are loved, safe, and thriving. The education they received is second to none and the interwoven Catholic principles is one point. My kids (boy 12yo and girl 11 yo) are excited to go to school. For instance, my daughter is dissecting an owl pellet in science, making a diorama in social studies, and crafting for their annual service project to support a local charity today. My son enjoys the leadership and extracurricular activities like safety, Quiz Bowl, student leaders, NJHS, and altar serving.Being a private school, St. Michael has limited resources for special education but kids with needs to accommodate ADHD and dyslexia do well.Parent Review4mo ago - Peace Evangelical Lutheran School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSave your money. I would never recommend this place. 5th grade class has 12 kids, six 5th graders and six 4th graders. The class is taught by the principal. The school is run by a power hungry teacher who's got all the kids and a few of her coworkers afraid of her. Her dog is nice though. There's no lunchroom, no gym class, no nurse. The kids aren't being taught at grade level and get punished for ridiculous things. Would not recommendParent Review5mo ago
