Posted by a parent on 10/9/2023Amazing school overall. Extracurricular classes are amazing. Classes and teachers are amazing. Students, not so great- judgmental, snobby, and not very diverse. Hard to fit in socially- especially if your not like the rest of the students. School work, you'll learn a lot but the course load is tough

Strong Community. There is something for everyone here. It's a beautiful campus. It just needs a new principal.

Grosse Pointe South was far harder academically than my four year university. I received a great gift from my parents by virtue of them choosing this community in which to live.
Posted by a community member on 8/25/2016Ive gone through the G.P. school system and my kids went from happy, great teachers{k-5} to semi unhappy teachers/students begin picking favorites {6-8} to completely miserable, preppy,unsocial, paid off school{9-12} and dropped out half way through Senior yr cause they couldnt stand the ppl there..

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son went here for his first year in the toddler class. I loved his teacher. They stick with the Montessori curriculum. Helped me potty train. Helped get him used to being around other children and the schools staff are like friends and family. That's the vibe and feel this school has. Ms. Carol the schools administrator is so involved and I can tell has a true passion for her work. This school is not stuck up judgemental or snobby.
