Unfunded and understaffed and as a result the kids suffer. Putting 60 + kids on one bus, curriculum not followed (entire classes omitted), kids standing out in the cold unnecessarily. Save yourself the time if you value your kid’s education.

There is a huge lack of communication between faculty and the parents about what is going on with their child. They are quick to call home after a situation has escalated to far but not about the progress children's grades during the semester. It is not until report cards are given that I am made aware that my child is falling behind and not when the problem is arising so that me as a parent and the teacher can discuss the steps that need to be taken to get my child the help they need. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at this school for 6 years and counting (among my 3 children) and have had a very positive experience, especially with current leadership. The teachers are all amazing, and have a good mix of diversity to meet the needs of a diverse student population. There is a tight community among the students with the way the Montessori program is setup with mixed age classrooms and also the reading buddies program where older students are paired with younger classrooms for reading time. I think this helps reduce the chances of bullying, along with support from the teachers and staff to encourage positive behavior. The parents are also very engaged and we have a strong and active PTA that continues to expand to help offer more programming and more resources for the school, which has been amazing to see over the years. A strong and active PTA is always a good sign of a thriving school. We feel lucky to live close to P3A for my children to be able to attend this amazing school.Parent Review1y ago
