In complete honesty, this school has both its pros and its cons. However, one major issue I want to address is how little teachers motivate students to truly push themselves, especially during freshman year. A common conversation among upperclassmen is how they wish they had tried harder as freshmen
Posted by a community member on 3/5/2026I'm so glad my daughter went there (and she is, too). The humanities were really outstanding, STEM, at the time, not so much. She learned great study skills and great life skills which served her well at a very demanding college. The things CBHS was weak on she could easily get access to elsewhere:

They don't know where there kids are, they don't grade like a high school should,and they're allowed to have late papers. What's the point? The set up is terrible DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO GO HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO HAVE AN EDUCATION AND G

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I went to this school, I felt connected to my peers around me and teachers would always be there for you even if they were going through a rough time on their own. There were many fun activities such as movie nights and engaging field trips, allowing the child brain to develop new skills in different subjects (social and academically). 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went here for 6 of the most important and enriching years of her school experience. The entire school is so committed to their students -and parents too. I cannot say enough good things really. My daughter was and is developmentally challenged and has ADHD, but they kept her with her peers and helped her in and outside of class. She felt a special part of the community, loved and cared for and supported in many ways. The diversity of the community is the strength of the school in many ways. I can't imagine a better environment to grow and learn and develop in. The new construction and renovations going on will really help in many of the ways they excel and expand their impact as educators. We were blessed beyond words.
