Read what parents are saying about Dulaney High SchoolDulaney prepared our daughter for college with challenging courses and lots of club/after-school options. The physical building needs improvement but the students still succeed!
Posted by a parent on 7/15/2023This school helps students prepare to score well in PSAT and SAT, and focus to prepare for good colleges. I like all my daughter’s teachers, they are really working hard
Posted by a parent on 4/21/2022Building is falling apart and the county currently has no concrete plans to replace it (they may actually remodel Towson High before they do a new Dulaney, even though Towson's building is OK and the school is doing better). Dulaney has no AC, you can't drink the water (lead pipes), and mostly poor/outdated athletic facilities. Athletic programs pretty weak other than men's basketball, which has been drawing kids from the city for some years now. There's a lot of forces that will make it hard for Dulaney to remain even an average school. It may end up like Perry Hall is currently. It has been following that path for 10 years now.Expectations for students are fairly low. A student can get by with minimal homework and there isn't a ton of parental investment in clubs or other activities. This is partly (mostly?) due to changes in the zoning and housing patterns in the area, which isn't going to change anytime soon. Lots of families that can afford it put their kids into MIAA schools nearby. If you can afford it, go private or move to Hereford Zone. Obviously, if your kid is really bright, they can also apply for Carver (magnet school nearby) and that's great.
Posted by a parent on 8/26/2021Very disappointed with Dulaney. Direct communication is non-existent. Emails are rarely returned. There is no support or guidance from school counselors. Students teach themselves. This is not the educational experience I wanted for my children. The school environment is depressing. The physical facility is a disgrace. Baltimore County Public Education is shameful. I wish I was financially able to keep my children in private school.
Posted by a parent on 4/29/2021The only time I had something that was even close to happiness during my time here was when I was defying my teachers or the administration.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been at Warren now 3 years and has been consistently a positive experience overall. The faculty are very dedicated and they have a high faculty retention rate, with many staff members there for decades. The lower income and lower resources available to some students may impact their school performance, but the school community is quite vibrant and they have an active PTO, with multiple yearly fundraisers, events, and fairs. The neighborhood where Warren is located is one of the best in all of Baltimore County with low crime rates and supportive of the school as a neighborhood school, even if their children don't attend there. Our experience has only been positive, including under the new principal. I can't speak to why some of the others on this blog wrote a negative post about the admin as it is essentially the same under the new and old principals. I would certainly recommend this school to newcomers tot he neighborhood rather than paying for a high priced private day school.Parent Review3mo ago - Padonia International Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is a tall ask of any parent to trust a group of humans to help raise your children. Our children are our everything, and we aim to offer everything to our children. We aim to create a life where our children can thrive, where they can learn to be their best selves, where they can explore their truth, where they can be real, where they can feel safe, and where they can be seen.We have two daughters who spend their days at Greenspring Montessori (currently 5 ½ and 7 years old). Our daughters are seen. They are heard. They are acknowledged. They inspire and they are inspired. They lead and they are led. They are learning in such a natural, exciting, true world. The guides at Greenspring Montessori are indispensable. They demonstrate a patience for and understanding of each individual student the way a family member might. In essence because they are family. The administration and senior leadership are accessible, willing and open. They lead and live by the notion that “we are better together”, and we feel that as a family. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has had a good reputation but our experience has not lived up to that ideal. The school struggles with discipline which is affecting learning opportunities for all the students. Recent events at the school have brought to light that the school has not put in place effective procedures for handling student behavioral issues.Parent Review1y ago - St Joseph's School
