I met only one Teacher she was nice, but overall the school was very disorganized and the school staff lack information. My daughter dislike Burnt Mills ES. There are data where the bus forgets to pick up the students and the school dont even warn the parents. Busses are extra packed. We are so happy we moved out of Silver Spring, MD and found a better school where my daughter actually loves to go to learn.

I am very happy that my 2nd grader is pleased with this school and has made many great friendships, since we enrolled in Pre K. I feel like the social connections and atmosphere is safe for children and I don't have to worry about my child getting exposed to concerning things at this young age. The academics are challenging which is a good thing. There are many opportunities for parental involvement and it's encouraged which I appreciate! I recommend this school, you won't be disappointed. Oh like others have said, you always see the principal around which goes a long way. He's approachable and pleasant, as is the staff!

We have two kids going to Forcey and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The teachers we have interacted with were passionate about their job and excellent role models to their students. Our daughter was able to form friendships easily in the school's nurturing environment that often feels like one big happy family. Overall, the school has provided an excellent environment for our daughter's spiritual, physical, personal and intellectual growth.

I wanted to share my experience with Julia Brown School regarding my daughter’s time there. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and left us feeling that the environment was not supportive of helping children adjust and thrive.When my daughter was placed in a new classroom, she had been there for less than a full day before we began receiving calls asking us to pick her up because she was “not listening to instructions.” As any parent knows, transitions to a new classroom can be challenging for young children. It typically takes time for them to feel comfortable with new teachers, classmates, and expectations. Instead of allowing her a reasonable adjustment period or working with us on strategies to help her settle in, the school seemed irritated by the situation and quick to remove her from the classroom.We were hoping the staff would demonstrate patience, professionalism, and a child-centered approach—giving her at least a week or two to adapt to the new environment. Unfortunately, that level of support and understanding was not demonstrated. Repeated calls to pick her up after such a short time in the classroom made it feel like the priority was convenience rather than helping a child succeed.Every child deserves educators who are willing to guide them through transitions with patience and care. We had hoped for a more supportive and professional approach from the school in ensuring that our child had the opportunity to adjust and thrive.
