Read what parents are saying about Parkside High SchoolMy LGBT student has faced bullying and unequal treatment from students and staff. Attempts to address the issue have been unsuccessful. The special ed coordinator, however, is excellent.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis schools administration preaches about anti bullying, claims they don't tolerate it. My 9 year old is in therapy because she is constantly picked on and harassed by fellow students. Yesterday she was physically assaulted three times and the boys punishment was to stand against the wall! The administration does NOTHING to put a stop to these actions. These kids NEED to be held accountable.Other Review6y ago - Pinehurst Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHATE HATE HATE HATE!!!! I used to go here as a student, and there were absolutely NO POSITIVES!!! School does nothing about bullying, and finds some sort of way to completely humiliate you! This school gave me trauma, not only from the students but from the teachers too! I 100% do not recommend this school. I've been to four schools now, and none of them are nearly as bad. And I'm not a bad kid, considering I am now the leader of my school as a student council President, and a proud member of NJHS. This school 'learns a few grades ahead', and will NOT help your child if they are struggling because it's a sudden jump in learning, but instead shame you and your child for it!! They also will take your money from their expensive school uniforms!! DONT GO HERE!!Other Review1mo ago - Asbury Child Development Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had one child in the school since preK through grade 4 and have been very happy overall. I do feel the teachers are dedicated and work hard especially because class sizes in the lower school are large (25-29 at times). Our child has ADD and so the attention and support from the teachers have been great. There is always feedback on her work and early in the year this is very constructive. I do not feel my child would have this attention in any of the local public schools which are nationally and state ranked quite low. In fact, this school is probably the only reason I still live in this region. I am not sure if we will stay for high school as it is a smaller school and may not be able to offer all of the activities and social interactions other high schools may. Also, the school has been extremely supportive throughout the pandemic, closing only at the outset but open through fall of 2020-2022 with before and aftercare for working parents. This has been incredible where other schools have closed with all of the notable loss of academics and social interactions.Parent Review2y ago
