Kingsville Elementary School

This school is small and family oriented. When I brought my Boys here I was concerned that the curriculum was not going to be up to standards with the surrounding public schools. Not only is their program is their program up to date, they are surpassing and their students are reaping the benefits! Their reading and math program are fantastic! They also have a fabulous theater and arts program. I love this school!

As someone who attended RCCS from 6th to 11th grade, I did not enjoy my experience here. The administration is hit or miss, they weight the “good kids” experience over everyone else. There is a lot of racism, bullying, and rudeness. The only good thing is the education, which is pretty good. Some of the teachers there are pretty bad, others are good. I was miserable there.

Teachers and community WERE wonderful. When the owner became more involved, 40+ families left and followed the teachers who decided to leave due to the toxic environment she created. As the last year came to a close, the owner began to send bills (for as little as $12) for aftercare to families who never used aftercare and still refuses to pay me $500 she owes my family. Drive by and see the EMPTY/for lease modular unit which was intended for growth of school. The owner also diagnosed my daughter with ADHD. Professional medical evaluation proved otherwise. She is peaceful and content at her new Montessori school. I would not recommend this school to a friend or an enemy.

St. Paul's Lutheran School has been the backbone and foundation for my children's development spiritually, emotionally and educationally. St. Paul's has been a wonderful community to be a part of for the last 14 years and it has been the best decision our family has made for the growth of our children. Our experience at St. Stephen School was ultimately not the right fit for our family.While there were caring individuals within the school community, we found the classroom environment difficult to navigate at times, particularly due to peer dynamics and behavioral concerns within a very small grade structure. With only one homeroom class per grade level, classroom composition becomes especially important, and there is understandably very little flexibility when a particular mix of students proves challenging socially or behaviorally.We experienced multiple incidents involving aggressive peer behavior that extended beyond what we personally considered typical childhood conflict. While we understand that all schools and classrooms face behavioral challenges from time to time, we often felt concerned by the frequency and intensity of certain situations and did not always feel confident in the consistency of how they were addressed.After transitioning to another private school environment, it also became clear to us that our child had not been academically challenged to the degree we had originally expected. The difference in academic expectations, classroom structure, and overall educational rigor was noticeable.For our family, it became increasingly important that our child feel consistently safe, supported, emotionally settled, and academically engaged within the school environment. Ultimately, we made the decision that a different educational setting would be a better fit moving forward.As with any school, fit is highly individual, and another family may have a very different experience depending on their child’s personality, peer group, and classroom dynamic.

Open Bible Christian Academy (OBCA) has truly been a blessing to our family. For 25 years, with six of our children walking its halls, we have experienced firsthand the love, dedication, and Christ-centered care that define this school.The teachers at OBCA are remarkable—not only do they teach with excellence, but they also pour into the lives of each student with genuine love and commitment. It is clear that their greatest desire is to see every child grow, not just academically, but also spiritually and personally.
