Excellent, small, tight-knit community at this school with teachers and staff who truly care about students. My family has loved sending our 2 boys here and taking advantage of the wonderful resources and programs it offers. My children have both excelled here. Highly recommended!
Posted by a parent on 8/30/2022I'm told this used to be a great school, but now it's not. Communication issues, fighting, profanity from students, practically no focus on science or social studies, and the kids don't even get recess.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love this school and almost left last year because of the terrible principal but thankfully she is finally gone and it’s returning to its former glory. The teachers at Prep are top notch, class sizes are small, kids get individual instruction based on their skill level but also learn how to be in an environment with kids who have different backgrounds and learning levels. We have an advanced learner and also a kid with an IEP and we have been equally impressed with their classroom experiences. Also reliable, affordable after care and a lot of options for after school clubs, esp as kids get older. We are so happy at Prep so please don’t let the bad reviews about our former principal scare you off! The children are exposed to a higher level of extracurricular activities compared to those in the County. They have the resources to advance a child academically. The students are exposed to the Center for Talented Youths in collaboration with Johns Hopkins. I am not sure why the negative comments on the school. Instead of learning a little about a lot of things, students really dig deep to learn a lot about each subject.
