Terrible experience with my child being bullied.
Posted by a parent on 3/22/2020I can’t wait to transfer my son he’s been there for going on 3 years I work with the teachers and everything and still no improvement, my son is being bullied and the principals or the teacher does nothing at all to prevent it
Posted by a parent on 10/13/2017This school has some great teachers but the principle is the worst he stops programs that will help encourage students to wanna achieve he stops teacher From suggestion activities for there student or to raise money he doesn't welcome parents who wanna help out in school he has his picks and favorit
Posted by a parent on 1/15/2017The school does very little to encourage outside reading. Reading skills are sub par. This was relected in the most recent publication of the MSA English scores on Level 5.

I think that this is an excellent elementary school and i will definitely continue to send my daughter there. The principal and staff are very good at what they do. Kudos to them. I am especially impressed with the intreractions that i see amongst the staff.

The children are exposed to a higher level of extracurricular activities compared to those in the County. They have the resources to advance a child academically. The students are exposed to the Center for Talented Youths in collaboration with Johns Hopkins. I am not sure why the negative comments on the school. 1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a teacher at this school in 2018. Stay far far away. The first day I was there - 14 fights. Children are allowed to roam the halls in packs beating up other students. They get up and leave class anytime they feel like it.The principal, Harold Henry, is useless. He makes promises to staff and parents and then does not keep those promises. In the two weeks at the beginning of the school year he was in my classroom 1 time. During my time there, children were rushed to the hospital from being beaten up and there was a neighborhood riot. 14 teachers quit during the school year and no sub wants to go there.Don't walk away... Instead of learning a little about a lot of things, students really dig deep to learn a lot about each subject.
