The first few years under Mr Carpenter were EXCELLENT. Downhill since he left. I pulled my daughters and left the area. They refused to give me their withdrawal packets. DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILDREN!!!!!

My children were told they weren't going to celebrate Halloween in October because not everyone recognizes it as a holiday but had no problem handing out dreidels to students aro

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe current principal is in no way qualified to oversee any child who struggles with a learning disability. There are numerous instances of open discrimination, deprivation of valuable classroom time, zero accountability, and consistent victim blaming. There is an outright refusal to acknowledge the adults in the school set the tone for kids who simply learn differently, instead choosing to engage in a years long power struggle over the need to be right, rather than the need to advocate for all children and their right to a fair and equitable educational experience. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLakeland is a great school. They have a diverse staff, older experienced teachers and new teachers full of energy. Most of the teachers are very nice. They go the extra mile for the students. The teachers are creative. My children like going to school every day. My son participates in sports and the afterschool program. My daughter does the afterschool program and arts in school. The school has a great partnership with different programs in the community. They like joining on different activities that the school does.It is very appreciated and I’m thankful that the school is very thoughtful of having both english and Spanish translations for announcements.
