Germantown is a hidden gem in Annapolis. All of the staff is loving and caring, looking out for the students' best interests. There are many ways to get involved with the school, the PTA has a lot of volunteering opportunities. Could not be happier with GES, their faculty & staff!

I am a happy mom of two children at Mills Parole and I think it's a great place. The teachers are very caring and want the students to do their best. The new principal and vice principal are great. They seem very caring and interested in the kids. Mr. Walker comes out every morning to help the traffic. Mrs. Meyers is always available and helps the kids. The Mills Parole staff is a great team!

I’m a parent of a kids in the Annapolis lower school. The school administration is a mess! The principal should be replaced. The student standardized test scores dropped significantly because of the elementary school principal making the curriculum less challenging especially in math over the years and not retaining many qualified longstanding teachers. Many of the new teachers hired do not have college degrees or formal teaching experience. Also, parents are constantly solicited for funds to provide expensive gifts (e.g., designer bags, vacations, large checks) for personal use to lower school leadership with the implication that their child will receive preferential treatment. Parents are tired of it and all talk about it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our daughter’s education. As she graduates kindergarten and heads into first grade, we are filled with gratitude—especially for Ms. Lane, who has been the most incredible teacher. Her kindness, patience, and dedication made learning joyful and exciting every single day. Ms. Lane set the bar incredibly high, and we can only hope that next year’s teacher will be just as wonderful. Thank you for giving our daughter such a strong and loving foundation!

I started at the school using the daycamp to transition my son from daycare to regular school. The school has been amazing in helping me provide my son an amazing education. He loves his teachers and I have seen a great improvement in his manners, intelligence and personality. They allow him to be himself which is very important. They are stern which helps provide me that extra boost.He is my first and only child and the teachers have helped me with various methods to improve behavior at home as well. Its a small no frills school but I love it. I have worked with many people who have recommended this school because either their children, grandchildren or other family members have attended and loved it.

TALS is a nurturing child centered environment where childhood is truly honored! The in depth studies, my daughter took part in during her preschool years at TALS are still relevant for her today at age seven. For example, she will insist that we get a photo of an insect of interest and then research origins just like the bug study in her TALS portfolio. In fact, she will frequently read through her TALS portfolio with great pleasure and pride. Ms. Georgia's kind, gentle spirit envelopes both the children in her care and their families. Our family feels that the foundation provided at TALS has been an integral part of our daughter's success at the larger public school setting she currently attends.
