Read what parents are saying about Miriam F Mccarthy SchoolIt's really terrible. Which is a shame because the teachers truly care. Framingham has many family shelters and every homeless child in Framingham is sent to this elementary school as opposed to the others in Framingham. There are many children who have severe emotional problems, and/or have stayed back for several years due to homelessness. It is irresponsible of the school system to have all of the children who need special attention in one school when there are a half dozen elementary schools in Framingham. It's not fair to any of the children because they cannot get the attention they deserve. My 2 kids have gone here for 2.5 years. There have been at least 4 principals, and they currently don't have one at all. They have only gone on one field trip each. They come home stressed out from bullying and the teachers are very short tempered. Im glad we are moving this year.
Posted by a parent on 2/10/2019We love MCC! The staff and teachers make an effort to know all the kids. My children had very different needs. My oldest is very advanced, and received differentiated learning both in the gifted program and regular classroom. My youngest had a difficult transition into school, and his teacher is making him a full participant in his 504 plan implementation. There is also an onsite after school program that runs until 6pm. The great schools score does not reflect how wonderful this school is.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe made the switch to this school for PreK at the start of covid when the public schools went remote but Catholic schools remained open (successfully). It was never our intention to stay beyond PreK, but yet here we are. Child going into 2nd and K and you'd have to drag me out of this school kicking and screaming. The love and caring I have seen has been incredible. I can't imagine my children attending a school where there isn't this type of environment. It is rooted in love and faith and kindness and getting to make and have relationships with other parents due to the small class sizes is wonderful. I have met so many other great parents and people. We know this will be our "home" for our kids through 8th grade. We have made so many sacrifices for our kids to attend this school due to cost, and we continue to do so because of the benefits we experience.
