This school is amazing! The academics are superb, faculty and staff are wonderful, and my 2 kids love going to school. We switched from public a few years back. Best decision we ever made!
Posted by a parent on 9/1/2023Academic is mediocre. My son was denied lunch because according to them he had no lunch money. My children always had lunch prepaid and they made a mistake. Instead of accepting their mistake and apologize, the principal was so defensive over her staff. Well, they lost 3 students the following year.

She treats minority parents as though she is above them and not as a parent. The school has more minority students with no minority employees. I don't think this

The leadership at the time was stand-offish, but the teachers were always wonderful. At the end of the 1st year, the lower campus got a new principal and she's been pleasant to work with. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this school (I moved in 4th grade and I'm currently in 7th), and oh my god, this school still brings me good memories. The staff is amazing, the students are on another level (I'm in an advanced program right now), it's super interactive, and super fun. 1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile this wasn't the school that changed my opinion about BPS, It did came to me that I was not given the type of class that an autistic person like myself should have gotten. Instead, I had to deal with outdated timeout rooms that used to have NO handle on the other side of the door, trying to change who I am instead of thinking of workarounds, making me repeat kindergarten because my brother didn't pass (who hates this school a lot), not changing my perspective of relationships before almost falling in love with my 2nd grade teacher, literally straining my arms behind my back, & dare I say, staff convincing me that I'd eventually get teleportation powers soon instead of telling me the truth. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMY granddaughter has been in the Huntington school from k-5th grade this is her last year the school is wonderful, but the school principa, has no people skills. my other remark is that my granddaughter and some of her friends rode the bus to school for a couple of years this year when school started there was a problem with several of the children being told that they could not ride the bus this year because it was only for children that didnot speak english fromthe same neighborhood as they are. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend this school. I was warned but wanted to give it a try since this is a seventh day Adventist private school. Academically, it is not up to par. The children are not being challenged enough. You will be wasting your money and your child’s education will set them back in life. Not worth it.
