Downey Elementary School

My daughter attended Kindergarten and now is in first grade. For those that do not know the state gives Brockton schools a lot more money than other school district because of the large working class population. So we get full day Kindergarten with two teachers and this really helps kids when they go to first grade. The school district has diverse community children of different back grounds and ethnicity. Respect, tolerance, safety is taught all in fun way. My child loves school, her teachers and other children in the school.

I would not recommend this school. I was warned but wanted to give it a try since this is a seventh day Adventist private school. Academically, it is not up to par. The children are not being challenged enough. You will be wasting your money and your child’s education will set them back in life. Not worth it. Look for other adventist schools like Cedar Brook in Rehoboth

This school is amazing! The academics are superb, faculty and staff are wonderful, and my 2 kids love going to school. We switched from public a few years back. Best decision we ever made!
