Posted by a parent on 9/25/2026So much bullying at the school, everyone is so rude to people. They make fun of people’s height and skin colors
Posted by a parent on 9/25/2026This school is not good. I wouldn’t recommend sending your kids here or if you’re a student wanting to go to this school. Some of the teachers here don’t even teach us well and most of the time all the teachers do are assume things that aren’t true and things just don’t make sense at all and wheneve
Posted by a community member on 5/29/2026If you are planning on sending your child here, don’t do it. Many kids there are very rude and disrespectful. I’ve gotten bullied a bunch of times here. Some teachers here aren’t the best at teaching but not all of them. I have seen some teachers being a bit rude to some students and making them cry
Posted by a community member on 5/15/2026We are so happy at the Hernandez! It’s a great community and many of the teachers have been at the school for a long time and are still excited to be back every year. We have one child in pre-K and one in second and the bilingual education is wonderful. The principal is great and very accessible, an

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are in our third year at the Mendell and have had nothing but a positive experience! The members of the staff are thoughtful, friendly, and engaged and there is a strong parental community that really cares for the school. The teachers are excellent and Ms. Bott, the principal, really cares about her students. We are looking forward to our younger child hopefully starting K1 there in the Fall.Parent Review8y ago - John F Kennedy Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi my name is Wanda G. I have 2 kids in the JFK and I believe the John F Kennedy School is a excellent school... offers a lot of programs suitable for our kids, with allot of concern for students & parents well been and communication. 95% of teachers are excellent and you can see they want the best for our kids instead of just working for a check and spending the summer off... me myself had been in programs involving me and my kids and had been times (actually must of the times) when is time to leave... (around 7:30PM), they are still there including the Principal (Miss Landing). My kids had been in JFK for their school years and I love it. When you walk in... they make you feel welcome. Can't complain about my 2nd home for my kids... cause that's how I see it. I know they are safe and having teacher with big concerns about safety.. make the JFK School one of the best school around.Parent Review11y ago - Trotter Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThese people let my 4 year old, autistic child wander from school. My 4 year old wandered off and went all the way home. Anything could've happened to him. How do you let an autistic 4 year old wander off and rome the streets? They call telling us they don't know where our child is. They have no care for these little children's safety at all. Please don't leave your children with these people.Parent Review2mo ago - Neighborhood Schools
