Read what parents are saying about Booker T. Washington New Technology High SchoolIm am a graduating senior of 2023 it has been 4 of the best years. Teachers are with you every step of the way because yes times get hard, you are transitioning into a mature stage in life. There is so much to love about this school from the teachers to the staff and the history. There are sooo many opportunities and programs including a program I attend which allowed me to have a opportunity to take 2 years of college and earn my associates degree right along with my high school diploma….. FOREVER A LION
Posted by a student on 4/5/2023I can truly appreciate the staff at Booker T. My daughter is in middle school and she had a very progressive english teacher there named Ms.Gilbert. She is a treasure. she taught them how to be " critical thinker" as she say, and she actually likes poetry. A good teacher is hard to come by sometimes but i'm glad mine had a good experience. Keep up the good work, BOoker T.
Posted by a parent on 5/9/2015I had little to no faith in this school when I was notified that my children had to attend. This school history was not to my liking at all!!!! Their violent history was very overwhelming for me. But since my children have attended, I have been surprised by something new every week of this school year. The teachers I have encounter are awesome. They provide you with endless ways to help improve your child in both educational status as well as behavior. I am very pleased with the hands on approach by each class and the constant communication each teacher provides. My biggest shock was the band program. AMAZINGGGGG!!!! This program does not receive the proper recognition it deserves. They have come a long way and I am very proud and pleased to have 2 children apart of this program. I appreciate all that you do and I look forward to sending my younger two children to this facility. Love, Mrs. R. Lewis
Posted by a parent on 10/28/2013"As a graduate of BTW I can say that going to this institution and succeeding is like being a fish and swimming up stream. To comment on the statement above. I am also a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School (2003) and I believe that this is not the case at all. Your next sentence is exactly the reason for failing grades and test scores. ("Only the very serious and self determine will get a quality education worthy of college entrance standards.") There is no motivation from some of the student's. I attended Booker T. during all of that low performing stage and I am just fine. I went on to attend college at a predominantly white University obtaining my Bachelors degree in Science, one of the worst subject areas known to Booker T. Washington students. I am currently working in my field and thank God everyday that my mom made me go to that school. As a matter of fact I went to two so called low performing school throughout grade and middle school; Central Elementary and J.S. Clark middle school. It is all about what is instilled into each child from their parents.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student, st marks was one of the worst schools ever. The education was so bad. It did not prepare me for high school at all. Most of the teachers were horrible to everyone. They were rude and belittling. One of them, made the girls bend over infront of the boys in my eight grade year.St marks did not help me when my anxiety was at its worst. I had the worst experience there during middle school. There are so many better schools out there. St marks education is horrible. The only good teachers were the French teacher and 8th grade English teacher. Everyone else. Were not great teachers. The only reason I went to st marks was due to a speech impediment. It helped with that but it took about a decade to solve that problem. Also, the safety of the school is awful. When a kid THREATEN TO SHOOT THE SCHOOL, the principle did not do anything until the music teacher yelled at him. The teachers did not do anything against students doing drugs or anything like that at the school. Also, they did not do anything about cheating. I never cheated but literally most of the students in my grade cheated.Other Review5mo ago - Central Free Methodist Christian Day School
