G.T. Woods Elementary School

I went here about 10 years ago for my kindergarten and first grade year. The staff are not that nice but the teachers were fine. The cafeteria workers would force the students to be completely silent if they just felt like it and if you didn’t comply you would need to throw your lunch away (regardless if you finished) and stand beside a wall. They basically publicly shamed you.

My son attended kindergarten at Bissonet and loved it. Every time I visited the school, it had a very positive atmosphere and all the kids seemed so respectful in the halls and happy. From my experience, the principal was great. When dropping off/picking up my son, I would always see her engaging in a positive way with students. They also organized nice family events for occasional evening activities (movie and popcorn night, STEM Night) (before COVID) and there was a great sense of community.

Great school I went to Green Park when I was younger in now my two boys go to Green Park. My youngest has autism and I am so impressed of how much he has learned. He went from not knowing how to read much to now reading me books in one school year. That was awesome! Which a BIG THANKS to Mrs.Cresson , Mrs.Queen. My oldest is doing wonderful too. Also a BIG THANKS to Mrs.Glaser, Mrs.Williams in Mrs.O’Flynn. The Growth I seen both of my boys is Awesome and couldn’t thank y'all enough.

I love this school. Teachers there care about your kids.
