If you’re looking for a school that you KNOW, will take wonderful care of your babies, Country Day School of BR is the place to go! My 2.5 year old son has been there for over a year and my 1.5 year old daughter started about a month ago. They are excited to go to school and learn new things every day!The employee turnover is low and it feels like everyone there is family to us. The teachers plan fun learning activities to keep the children engaged but also gaining new knowledge and skills. As crazy as it sounds, one of my biggest issues with a lot of the other schools or daycare we originally looked into was the food… Country Day School has a wonderful cook that serves the kids delicious, nutritional food for lunch and they also serve healthy snacks three times a day! It’s a gated school with cameras around the perimeters so I never worry that my babies may not be safe.Everything about CDS is as close to perfect as anything could be! I cannot put into words how much we love it there!

After beginning to work at CDS I discovered all the staff is so inviting and immediately bring you in like family. The training period is very helpful in learning positive language and keeping a positive outlook. Even when there are frustrating moments, the smiles on the children's faces make it worth it. The administration is very understanding and they are helpful in teaching new activities to do with the children. We work hard to help each child learn more about their interests and help them reach developmental milestones. With COVID we have new regulations which include, taking temperatures of the children and staff upon arrival and after naptime. Only staff is allowed on campus-- with parents being met at our front gate and children being walked to their classrooms. Masks are required for staff and parents, and classes are separated. I have felt safe during this time of COVID.

This was a very complicated and disappointing experience.

CDS is like a family. The teachers and students care about one another, work together cooperatively, and support each other's needs. With only about 10 students in each of our classes, we really make a difference for all of the children here. We value traditions while practicing innovative teaching. Our goal is to help children achieve their highest potential as individuals while learning to work well with others and developing responsibility and independence.

In the words of my child, "Country Day School understands children." I can't say it any better. CDS gave him his self-confidence back after having his spirit broken by strict traditional teachers. He re-gained his love for learning and school. He has graduated from CDS a year ago and doign well we will be forever grateful to the teachers and administration for their vision and inventment in truly understanding children and helping each one master their learning abilities in a very loving environment.
