Great place to send my kids to school.

If you like a school with double standards, this is the school to send your child. How can a child who has touched other kids in an inappropriate manner or threatening manner still able to attend classes baffles me. The school is going doing hill each year. So, glad my kids will be out of Pleasant Ridge. Bullying rules depend on the color of the skin and how much money the family puts into the school. No equal treatment. One kids might be suspended. While the other child is not. This has been going on for years. You contact the board of education and still nothing is done.

My child has experienced racism, bullying, and retaliation from the principal and teachers at Brookridge. I have concerns regarding the principal's professionalism. My child reported new teachers yelling at students and physical misconduct towards students. It appears that if a parent expresses disagreement with the principal, she may inform her staff, leading to retaliation against the parent and child. Minority children seem to receive disparate treatment from the principal and staff. Although the school boasts diversity, the staff lacks representation of diversity. Lacks the educational support for students. These allegations warrant investigation and change.

Children were able to make friends really fast their first year. They are giving great opportunities to learn about many things. Also, there is a good push to stay off of tablets unless required, love that!
