My second child to attend the UHS/UMS schools is a sr this year. Our experience over the past 8 plus years has been far from positive. My son did amazing at Urbana. He was completely prepared for college and he had great teachers who became true mentors. There is more good in this school than what appears at times. The theatre program is awesome and they have great administration.

UHS is a very diverse school. I think this is a huge asset for developing a whole person. My kids are in advanced classes and are challenged, supported, and encouraged. The administrators, especially their counselors, really care about helping my kids achieve. The facilities are well cared for, and

Very poor...once our son graduated, our daughter moved to Catholic School...no gangs, diversity pounded into students, and over 90% go on to college. This public school is pitiful.
