Eagle Ridge School

My son attends Colona school and has since pre-school. He loves all of his friends and teachers there. Mrs. Toone is excellent! My son and I have had the pleasure of her being our kindergarten and 1st grade teacher and she has always kept me very informed of good and some bad behavior and I feel that we all have worked together to educate my child. I have witnessed bad behavior by parents and students that I feel should be addressed. For example, I have seen many parents smoking in the school parking lot and heard cursing while waiting outside to pick up my child (which wouldn't be an issue if my 2 year old wasn't also listening) I have also repeatedly heard older students screaming curse words after school. Also parents park in no parking zones during pick up and it makes it unsafe for little ones walking to cars and home! My child was raised to understand rules are rules and that behavior is unacceptable. Lets class it up a little parents set a good example and it would be a better place! The school itself is decent staff is friendly but the people outside need work. Also the pre school is great loved mrs whipple and mrs sottos!!

Getting ready to take my son out of the school. He has been gone there for about almost a year now he takes the bus to and from school they’re always late or extremely early. I have health issues the bus drops my son off at the door but get told if I’m not outside That they will take my son without my permission and turn him into DCFS and call the police on me. They scream and yell at the parents never working with them. They act like it’s their child and they’re above the law if you have a health issue and don’t do what they say , forget them trying to help you. These are just my opinions on what it’s been going on in my situation. And if you have a concern and you try to talk to them about it, they will over you and not let you have a word and

Excellent, great staff, atmosphere and over all great small community school

The classes are basic and they add fees for everything. I scheduled a tour and meeting to speak to them about financial assistance. It was 9 am and because my daughter was not sitting there with the biggest smile imaginable they judged her. Didn't give the tour and then he looked at me and told me he had no idea what I was talking about regarding financial aid. It's on their website. He flat out said they're leary about FA, but they clearly offer it on their site. He showed us a schedule and wanted us to have a million questions. If you're going to pay, I suggest QC Christian. My daughter want judged there and had the same shy face that was easily gone by the end of our meeting there. This place, though, horrid.
