Posted by a parent on 9/5/2017Though most people think Romeoville is ghetto, I went there for two years and I currently attend a very well-funded school in the area. I found RHS it to be one of the most character-building places I have ever been. A very diverse crowd, fantastic teachers.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen I went to this school between the years of 1999 and 2004 they always had crossing guards that made us cross the street at the appropriate intersections for our own safety.Now the school refuses to take responsibility for any of the children once they leave the door, living in the same neighborhood I have almost accidently struck multiple children with my car on multiple different occasions because no one is teaching them not to run out into traffic or cross at appropriate crosswalks.when I reported this to the school I received nothing but an attitude and clear misdirection to the issue, they blame the local police.If the day comes that I cannot react fast enough, and I hit a child with my car, I am suing this school district for emotional distress.If the day comes that a child is struck in front of my house by another car, I will be a key witness to any lawsuit brought against the school for negligence.Other Review4mo ago - Walsh Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWelcome to the new SJS! We love the new administration and teachers! They have been wonderful and my kids actually enjoy going to school. We have been very happy with the curriculum and the smaller class sizes allow for individual attention if needed. My children have enjoyed all the sports offered throughout the year (cross country, basketball, volleyball, and coed volleyball). There is a very active parents club, who provide fun activities throughout the year. We came to the school for the education, but the community of families adds to the reason we have stayed. The teachers are knowledgable and caring. The academics are outstanding and age appropriate. At Little Explorers the students are learning so much from everything they see and experience.
