My three children had a great experience at Maine South High School. We moved into Park Ridge because of the the school system. I wish my kids had the current principal (2025) rather than the previous but it didn't matter in the end.

Most talented kids I seen be kick to curb due to favoritism and politics. Maine south has to be the top for this problem. It is sad, I know many families who went through it. Discrim

Forget it if you don't donate money or part of a certain group they will not play you, even if you are beyond skilled! Ruined many children's future, football? Don't go there they won't play you. She is 5 years old, reads in 2 languages, and is far beyond her age group in math. The teachers are excellent and very loved by the students. We get a couple updates weekly, and they also have a great parent’s network that keep the percents involved. I expected a warm community, teachers who demonstrate kindness, respect, and high expectations. I feel so lucky to have found this at Brickton Montessori when I moved to Chicago's Northwest side. I love the joy on my kindergartener's face when he comes home with stories to tell about the day or a new, hand-drawn book or world map to show me. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend St. Andrews Lutheran School in Park Ridge! All three of my children attended. The two graduates were well-prepared for high school and life. The school is small, so students receive a lot of teacher attention and are known by everyone. There is such a warm, family atmosphere at the school! My kids emerged from St. Andrews with a strong moral compass and a firm academic foundation, especially in math, public speaking, and German. All three participated in sports (cross country, track, basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading). I can't say enough about the sports program at St. Andrews. The program gave my children a chance to excel, learn how to function as part of a team, make close friends, and even participate in state meets!
