Read what parents are saying about Jane Addams Elementary SchoolWe have two kids in Jane Addams. We're incredibly happy with the multicultural school. The dual language program puts kids who speak Spanish at home in the same classroom as kids who speak English at home (or another non-Spanish language) so kids of all backgrounds learn together. The program and resulting integration are truly impressive. The teachers clearly care about the students and go above and beyond to ensure each kid gets the support they need to be successful. The parents are involved and social, and the community is warm and welcoming. A true gem of a school.
Posted by a parent on 8/3/2021We are happy to have our kids attend here. Jane Addams rocks! The teachers have been such a blessing to my three children, especially with everything going on with COVID-19.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter 5 years at this school we finally had enough. We decided not to even enroll our youngest child here and sold our home to get out of the district entirely. We transitioned all 3 of our children to a new school in a completely different neighborhood. Quality of communication, education and culture in this school and entire district has steadily decreased. We are so happy we were able to get out when we did.Parent Review1y ago - Gray M Sanborn Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school makes a significant effort in appropriate and normal education for the children. There is a sense of togetherness, anti-bullying practices, and sufficient counseling outlets for the children. The lunches are normal/just fine, the fees are normal/just fine. Teachers were found to be overall very normal, helpful, and followed up well with the kids for past-due/missing homework along with assignments the kids didn't fully understand. The one issue I had with an assistant teacher behaving aggressively was resolved quick and well. My children look back on this school with fond memories saying this was one of the best schools they attended (we moved around a bit). Overall, if you are searching for a place to live and are looking for good schools, I would say this one is mighty fine and high up on my list. I tend to have my bar pretty high so that means a lot. :)Parent Review1y ago - Greenbrier Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur 8 year experience with Quest Academy has been nothing short of magical. Not only has it fostered a fearless joy for learning in our child but has laid an extremely strong foundation of her character with their robust character education program. The faculty is exceptionally talented and pours its hearts out to nurture a child's intellect and cultivate newer passions. Whether it is technology, sciences, social sciences or fine arts like drama there are enough avenues that can be explored by each child - be it as part of the school curriculum or through a plethora of clubs/after school activities. The current administration has an excellent pulse on the unique strengths and needs of each child in a small gifted environment, and has done a phenomenal job in keeping up with the growing academic/non academic demands of our ever evolving world and education system. It truly has been a transformative experience for our child and I would strongly recommend! Go Knights, Go Quest!! .Parent Review3y ago - St. Theresa School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enrolled my child in STS with the hope of having that sense of community and build solid relationships going into high school. We started there when my child was in second grade and STS does a good job with the early childhood ages, however, it goes downhill after that. The bullying started in about 4th grade and little was done about it. There is no repercussions for the bullies rather victim blaming and a toughen up attitude which is ridiculous for a faith based school. if your child is main stream has no concerns and is in need of no additional guidance either academically or emotionally then they will probably be fine but I don’t know that they would benefit either. The junior high is ill equipped for handling the needs of today’s preteens. There are politically charged conversations led by teachers and parents alike it is really not a good, healthy or welcoming environment. We pulled our child out and placed them in a D 15 junior high and we are much happier and feel more included in that environment. While we didn’t want our child to have a Catholic education as we had personally had positive experiences with our other child, it was not worth the emotional trauma that was caused by a school that doesn’t keep up with the social and emotional development of older children. I don’t believe they will ever look at the world other than ultra conservative lens.Parent Review1y ago - St Thomas Of Villanova School
