In my experience, overall my child loves the school and teachers. Is the school perfect? Absolutely not. But tell me a public school that is. I have seen the principal attend many after school event

They are well known for disorganization (high turnover rate with principals) who arrive for work at 10 am three times a week and teachers are very unhappy. 10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThree of my children attended this school & it was terrible. I pulled them all out. There was a situation with all three of my students. The kindergarten teacher is terrible. She sits on her phone all day & will leave the kids in the class by their self. Kids that young are racist which is sad. My youngest was 4 when attending and she had a situation with another student touching her inappropriately and instead of listening to my daughter they said it was a mistake. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have to think sometimes about my kids transitioning out of Prairie Oak as they get older and part of me wishes they didn’t have to. From the administration higher up to the social workers to the teachers to parent-support, I could not have for better. The social-emotional teaching is just beautiful. Prairie Oak has teachers my kids will never forget. I won’t either. I wish it was a middle school too, I really do! Mrs. Abrantes and Mrs. Vicars go above and beyond for the instruction, safety and well-being of the kids. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible enviornment for kids to grow. Bullying is rampant in the school and has been for years. Teachers overlook aiding kids and snub their nose at them and some teachers seem to be more immature than some of the kids. The faculty have no sense of boundaries which imprints a very unhealthy expectation and understanding of how the real world works for your kids. Honestly i think public school is better than this place. Its overall a terrible experience and looking back on it I wouldve rather paid to not send my kids here. Keep in mind both me and my husband are highly educated (he has a PhD) and i have a masters.
