From the principal , Mr Barragán to the assistant of the principal , the secretaries and the teachers . Just the Gym teachers are not so good , they just wash th

Our son was very close to making it into the cps gifted program but missed it by a couple points. Prairie Oak gives our son that challenge he needs as an intellect

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery teacher I have come in contact with at WP has made me feel that they care for the children. However, when I come in contact with the assistant principal or people in the office, they assume you’re uneducated and aren’t willing to do what is necessary for your children. When my daughter was in 1st grade, the teacher decided not to return to the class and was gone for the rest of the year. Leaving the class with sub’s for the entire year. I along with other parents volunteered to help in the class and were told we had to leave, even though it was obvious the sub’s needed assistance. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible enviornment for kids to grow. Bullying is rampant in the school and has been for years. Teachers overlook aiding kids and snub their nose at them and some teachers seem to be more immature than some of the kids. The faculty have no sense of boundaries which imprints a very unhealthy expectation and understanding of how the real world works for your kids. Honestly i think public school is better than this place. Its overall a terrible experience and looking back on it I wouldve rather paid to not send my kids here. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBeen part of the school because of my child for over 3 years now. The teacher's are amazing doing a great job. We get to pick the hot lunches for our kids in advance & get a print out of it which is very helpful. Also, if you need any help, your child is having an issue or need financial assistance to pay for the school, they are their to help you. Absolutely recommend this school.
