Warren Park School

Three of my children attended this school & it was terrible. I pulled them all out. There was a situation with all three of my students. The kindergarten teacher is terrible. She sits on her phone all day & will leave the kids in the class by their self. Kids that young are racist which is sad. My youngest was 4 when attending and she had a situation with another student touching her inappropriately and instead of listening to my daughter they said it was a mistake. My son was bullied and they basically did nothing but once he responded to the bully he was looked at as if he was doing the bullying.

I have to think sometimes about my kids transitioning out of Prairie Oak as they get older and part of me wishes they didn’t have to. From the administration higher up to the social workers to the teachers to parent-support, I could not have for better. The social-emotional teaching is just beautiful. Prairie Oak has teachers my kids will never forget. I won’t either. I wish it was a middle school too, I really do! Mrs. Abrantes and Mrs. Vicars go above and beyond for the instruction, safety and well-being of the kids. I wish we could just manufacture more of these women so everyone could know how amazing they are.

This school does not care about the students and staff only the scores even if students are coming from a broken background or having difficulty they do not care. The students can barely read and they give curriculum that the students cant follow.

La peor experiencia que pudo vivir mi hijo, es una escuela que esta diseñada para la educación especial gran parte del alumnado tiene discapacidades, incluyendo mi hijo por esta razón yo estuve muy al pendiente de su avance sin embargo poco a poco me di cuenta de las deficiencias de la escuela, una de ellas y para mi la mas importante es la empatía que deben tener los maestros, asistentes, equipo de seguridad, incluyendo también al transporte escolar; la gran mayoría de ellos suelen gritarles horrible a los niños por decir poco, el bullying es masivo los niños pelean y no importa la edad, en el caso de mi hijo tuvo mas accidentes que en ninguna otra escuela que ha estado, y lo llamo accidentes por que así se me fueron reportados como ACCIDENTES cuando había marcas de dientes o uñas en el, y ni hablar de la comunicación con los maestros o la case manager obtendrás una respuesta en 1 mes si te va bien.

Terrible enviornment for kids to grow. Bullying is rampant in the school and has been for years. Teachers overlook aiding kids and snub their nose at them and some teachers seem to be more immature than some of the kids. The faculty have no sense of boundaries which imprints a very unhealthy expectation and understanding of how the real world works for your kids. Honestly i think public school is better than this place. Its overall a terrible experience and looking back on it I wouldve rather paid to not send my kids here. Keep in mind both me and my husband are highly educated (he has a PhD) and i have a masters. I could not think of a single redeemable quality for this school
