Kindi Academy

I have a 5th grader and 7th grader who have both been there through kindergarten. Our family has had an exceptional time in the district!

We have had such great experiences at this school until this year. We are very unhappy in this district. My child's current homeroom teacher does not respond to emails. Some of the previous teachers have been great so I feel bad leaving this review, but every teacher should communicate with parents. My child has some legitimate learning issues and I don't know where else to turn since the teacher won't respond to any questions.

The principal of the school has a terrible attitude and fake smile.She is terrible with parents and every morning she yells,and every morning when i come by car especially I personally have frustration and stress...nothing to anyone.I have witnessed several times that they open the door in front of me and help the children out.When its my cars turn,they stop and pretend they are not there.When they see that im not moving,they wave their hands for me to go and get out of the circle.The child is still sitting inside because he cannot get out cause he had a child lock.I show them that the child is still inside and ofcourse they just ignore.Then i go out and open the door for him...And every every time like that...THE WORST SCHOOL WITH TERRIBLY UNPROFESIONAL PEOPLE WHO WORK WITH EXTRA SMALL CHILDREN...VERY SCARY

Kingswood Academy puts on a great presentation. Although many of the staff members are very caring and loving towards the children, a few of them are not. These few disrespectful to parents and students. They bully, blame the children for having sad or emotional moments, and take zero responsibility for their actions. They exclude children from Sports and activities and make independent decisions to affect the way the child is perceived in the classroom and in the school. Teachers and staff members who have their own children attend. The school are given preferential treatment. They are allowed to say and do what they want in the school. They have access to their parents and that safety net. Board members and individuals who donate a substantial amount of money also have preferences given to their children. If complaints or concerns are brought up, they nod and tell you that that the only way to solve things is to pray to God. They claim to be Catholic, however they do not institute Catholic principles. You cannot say anything to the Illinois State Board of education or the Joliet diocese because they are an independent School. Any concerns at the school are easily swept under the rug. Many children have been excluded after a couple years of enrollment because the school has decided that they could not support their children. They also refuse to return any tuition reimbursement after they force children to be removed. Decisions are made on emotion rather than the Catholic faith. Children have been backed up against walls, yelled at, and accused of lying. Families are asked to sign an NDA to prevent anything from leaking to the public to get their money back.

We are going on our 13th year of sending our kids to Marquette. We cannot say enough good things about this school. It is a community of believers coming together for the same purpose, Christ centered education. For a small school they offer many different clubs, sports, and extra curriculars for after school.
