Excelentes maestros el personal de la escuela e general son muy amables

All the lower scores are from more than 10 years ago with a completely different principal and staff, so I thought it was time to write a more current review. My daughter just started 1st grade and this is her 1st experience with a CPS school - she was previously at a Montessori school from when she was an infant to pre-K. My wife and I are realizing more and more what a special school Everett STEM Academy is - it was designated as a STEM school in 2019, but the concentration on emotional and social growth really solidified in our minds what a great decision it was to enroll our child here. The teachers and staff know are really invested in the students...I witness during morning dropoff the school counselor, Ms. Wiley, say hi to each child by name and she asks each of them about specific things in their lives. The 1st grade teacher, Ms Salgado is encouraging of our child's successes as well as in tune with her challenges and needs. We get specific ideas on how we can continue school support for our child at home. The communication with the staff is EXCELLENT. They're very responsive to emails and input (our child is Filipino and Ms. Salgado and Ms. Wiley had some fun activities for the kids to learn about Filipino culture during Filipino Heritage month). I can't comment on the special education aspect of the school because I just don't know, but in all other aspects (learning, teaching, social-emotional support, safety, family engagement) we are so happy with Everett STEM Academy.

The principal is a joke. Student safety and overall mental health is the last thing on his agenda. He does not care about anyone's kids getting bullied. It is not a safe environment for kids. There are zero consequences. All the kids have to do is say "sorry" And All is forgiven. Kids have gotten so smart that they know they can do whatever they want to anyone. The kids are literally running around wild. It's like the wild wild West. If you send your kid here, you would not be able to sleep at night. There are good teachers there but their hands are tied.

Armour is an excellent neighborhood school! As a kindergarten parent, I've been very impressed with my son's academic progress in a short period of time. The school environment is warm and empathetic, and my son's teacher is communicative and responsive to my questions and concerns. My kiddo clearly feels safe and comfortable at school and looks forward to the school day. The school's academic performance metrics have improved significantly under Principal Chuu's leadership, and she has secured significant resources to fund brand new STEM labs that are used by all grade levels. I'm confident that Armour will be a great place for my son to attend K-8 and am very pleased to have a top-shelf neighborhood school so close to our home.

Worst school ever! Take your child out of here. Principal is quite irresponsible and teachers only protect him, people here show a face of being very kind staff, but in reality they cover their faults each other, without caring if it affects the student. Don't be fooled by their fake friendliness and be careful.
