Cuffe Math-Sci Tech Elementary Academy

The current Principal is the rudest person I've met in a long time. I have subbed here a few times and would not do it again. One time I had no sub plans, no roster, and no schedule (this happens regularly at Cook). Students were running around the building and I had no idea who was even supposed to be in my class because there was no roster. I alerted the principal that students were just roaming freely (at least 10 students) he shrugged and said he was busy. Did not care at all about where they were or their safety. The staff admits they don't like the principal at all and even apologized for his behavior. It's not the staff that's the problem, it's that principal. Morale is very low and if I had to deal with him every day I would not want to come to work either.

An 8/10 because it created a mindset that carried me throughout high school and onto college. I found out what my likes where as far as my talents in academics and extracurriculars that can manifest into a career. Things that I found myself doing in high school because I was introduced to it at Fort Dearborn. The people as in teachers, certain ones for me but it all depends on who you are and who you connect with, had an affect on me and I will always remember them pushing me to be who I am, and who I was to them, was great and promising! But, of course things may change for students, this was back in 2012.

If your children have special needs, Do not send them to this school? Horrible staff. Called the principal and received no response. Unbelievable neglect witnessed! We will be reporting this school.

Dr. Spells is amazing with the kids. A good school with a solid foundation for raising and nurturing our future generations.

St. Sabina has fallen below the community expectations in so many ways. It's amazing how they pretend to empower the community, but they don't welcome parents as partners. There are no real scholarships prior to your children starting class, they treat you as if they are bill collectors instead of educators and will sit your child out side until they have received money. In exchange for your hard earned money, you are not expected to ask questions or challenge the norm. Just send your children and hope for the best. Children often slip through the crack here. There have been numerous inadequate teachers who affect the children's learning ability and self-esteem and the school administrator doesn't see it as a problem. The constant problem here is not enough resources, too many new teachers, and too much nepotism. They don't reach out to parents for help, just MONEY. Don't send your child here to receive a competitive education, but rather an attitude and excuses. My Child has been on principal scholar here since, 2009, but I want him to be prepared for a better future. Don't believe the MEDIA HYPE! Once they get you in, it's over.
