I feel that this is an excellent school. I have raised my children in this neighborhood since 1991 when the school opened for 1-8th graders. My 4th and last child graduates this year. She's been an honor student with high test scores, like my other 3 (3rd child away at college now on scholarships).E

Test scores are not everything, but that's all this school worries about. My daughter was fine until she hit the 3rd grade and they started teaching the test to prepare for the ISAT. The office staff

Parents and teachers and students at Carson are treated like criminals. Not a safe place for my children so they are at Talman instead.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is very unorganized I feel like the principal doesn't do anything and only cares about her reputation. The social emotional support and special education is SO BAD, the learning is really bad too I learned nothing at this school. They are low on staff, the school couldn't find teachers since the start of the school year because the teachers DO NOT want to go to this school. I did not have a homeroom teacher for the school year so we basically didn't learn anything same with having a substitute for the math teacher and when the math teacher was there they got angry at us for us not understanding the way of how they teach. I feel unprepared for high school. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOUR CHILD GOING TO THIS SCHOOL THEY WILL LEARN NOTHING HERE PLUS THE SCHOOL REALLY NEEDS TO UPGRADE THE BUILDING THE CEILINGS IS CRUMBLING.Other Review1y ago - Talman Elementary School
