Beasley Academic Center is a special place where the principle of Black excellence isn't just a slogan—it’s lived daily. The administration and teaching staff are exceptionally caring and intentional, fostering an environment rooted in the belief that every single child has the capacity to succeed.
Posted by a parent on 8/11/2026The security staff is rude and offensive. They need customer service skills. Somebody is going to react to security. Is Beasley a learning atmosphere or is it jail? Seems like jail to me
Posted by a parent on 8/16/2023I graduated in 2016 and I wish I left sooner. School more concerned with frills and reputation and would let the basketball team run rampant and bully other kids. I was given a suspension for defending myself against someone who had been threatening me for an extended period of time and bullies were
Posted by a community member on 1/17/2021I have no kids, yet I receive phone calls and voicemail messages that "my son" is ready to be picked up from school. I've explained that I have no kids and to remove my number, but they continue to call me to pickup "my son." Don't be surprised if you child goes missing attending this school.
Posted by a community member on 12/1/2020If I could take away points I would. This school does not deserve to get a rating of a zero. I withdrew my child from this school and I am glad that I did. He is thriving in a school that supports his needs academically. Beasley is not what it used to be in the 90's and looks like when

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter entered Pre-K last year at Reavis. She has special needs and requires an ample amount of attention. I had my reservation about Reavis but it is my neighborhood school and wanted to have her someplace close to home. In her first year at Reavis PreK special education, my daughter went from a non-verbal, shy, and reserved little girl to an outgoing, verbal, and expressive student. She's eager to be at school and it's because of the attention she receives at Reavis. Specifically, from her Prek teacher, Mr. Shah. I can't speak for the other classes but my daughter had a terrific first year of school at Reavis and she was eager to go back.Parent Review7y ago - Sherwood Elementary School
