Willow Grove Kindergarten Center

My Kid was there for Pre-K and really liked the teaching, parents involvement and overall development. Thank You. Looking forward for KG.

The culture of the school isn't parent friendly. The teachers do not try to connect with the parents. The office staff can be incredibly rude. It is our first year in this school and so I'm hoping that my rating will increase over time but each interaction I have with the school just further promotes my concerns. Maybe when I can actually interact with the teacher...but that doesn't happen till end of November! We never got to actually meet our teacher and we truly have no idea how her classroom is run or any actual child/class specific details. The Principal vaguely tried to provide this info at Curriculum Night but that entire night was a huge waste of time. Currently the only positive is the gym teacher, she is open and willing to interact with a parent. She has had incredible reviews from any parent she comes in contact with! Also thankfully my child is completely happy and well adjusted. That is the most important part! I just wish I had a clue about his school day and that I was invited to share in his education! It is most beneficial on a student when both the parent and teacher work together as a team. I wish I could be on my teachers team!

I enrolled my daughter into Willow Grove and then realized that the only before / after care program they had was champions which cost more then private all day kindergarten. Willow Grove is only half day. Barely 3 hrs. Which to me is behind other school districts that offer all day kindergarten. Then the school has a private school attached which charges more then comparable full day kindergarten. Enrolled my daughter into private school. After I lost my job I sent her there and the teacher seemed nice. She did OK. Aaliyah struggled because other then gym there was no social activities so she struggled to make friends. Again because it was 3 hours. Barely time for them to sit. Add that bus time to and from school. They did not get snack so when she got home she was starving.. It was a tough transition for a child who was used to being in school all day to only a half day.
