Read what parents are saying about Ridgevue High SchoolThe School has very dumb policies that don’t make any sense such as If you have dyed hair it’s a distraction and then you get ISS for It, (This to a Female friend of mine.) Further more the school doesn’t really care enough for students who started off of high rough and there’s enough opportunities for extra credit or to make up grades except to do either summer school or night school, I mean there’s Vallivue Academy but that’s not always enough and It be really Inconvenient. Also I know multiple people who were supposed to graduate their Junior Year but the school didn’t allow them to even after all the work they did and now they have to do their Senior year as well.
Posted by a student on 10/6/2022As a family we have now had three of our children go to Ridgevue High. Each one has expressed how much they enjoy the education options available as well as the oportunity to accelerate their college degree while in high school. A majority of the teachers seem to really care for the different needs of our youth. We continue to be excited to have our children attend here. Ridgevue is still a newer school so it has a limited history but our experience has been great each and every year. 2 graduates and a third on his way. Would absolutely recommend this school.
Posted by a parent on 8/22/2022During Covid-19 the school was not being properly cleaned, students would walk around with their masks below their noses without getting into trouble, and the same issue of not enough time at lunch as well as not having enough food for all the students. The teachers don't clean the desks in between classes every time like they're supposed to. The school has never had enough food for everyone to eat and 30 minutes is not enough time. It is not uncommon for students to wait in line for 20 minutes to get food or told they don't have anything left and if they didn't have money on them they would be unable to get food at all. There is major overcrowding in the lunch room even with A and B lunches, students have to go outside and even sit on the floor because of the overcrowding. The school is lazy with their students' IEP needs as well, if they don't want to do the paperwork they put the student on a 504 but treat them like an IEP. In 2020 there were several fights that broke out throughout the entire year making the school not very safe. This school will even fire teachers if students complain enough, students that are not even credible. For instance, the teacher that was in charge of the Food and Nutrition class for a few years was fired because the students were slacking and she had had back surgery. The students lied about her not teaching them anything because she wouldn't let them cook. She couldn't lift anything over five pounds and the ones that complained wouldn't clean up after themselves putting her at risk of further injury. She taught them other things completely related to food, such as table manners, what foods exist and facts about them, and more. That teacher is not the only one who has been fired for unreasonable actions. They do not want to keep good teachers for some weird reason that only the school understands. I definitely would not recommend this school to anyone until they clean up their actions and actually care about the students. The principal is a good one as he is great at keeping in touch and responding quickly about questions or concerns, but that does not change the quality of the school very much. The school has been awful about keeping the parents up to date about what their plans have been for Covid-19, even the teachers aren't in the know. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at East for six years and will be starting our seventh year next month. I have one child who was in the gifted program and one child who is in resource room. The teachers and administration have done a great job meeting the needs of my two very different children. Teachers are easily accessible as is the principal.Parent Review7y ago - Birch Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love this school! This year in particular has a great administration and awesome teachers have stayed and more great teachers have been added. The kids are expected to follow the rules and the teachers help the kids that are struggling and challenge the kids that want more of a challenge. Even though the class sizes are pretty big, the teachers do a great job at giving each child a great education and genuinely care for the kids.Parent Review1y ago - Desert Springs Elementary School
