Waianae High School

My child has done extremely well academically at Waianae El and his home room teacher was wonderful.

2 of my sons attended, each until 4th grade. Hawaiian Culture is incorporated into curriculum heavily and staff is very 'tight' Beautiful campus, beautiful location Obvious drawbacks (poor peer groups, community challenges etc) If you are involved teachers and admin are 100% supportive

I used to work at Leihoku. This was my favorite teaching job I ever had. The kids that attend are very nice people and the families are just as wonderful. The staff is happy to be there and it shows.

It was fabulous. The Teacher's took a genuine interest in our kids and helped them excel. We also loved the farm experience they got there. The math training and science was exemplary.

My children have been attending Maili Bible School for 2 years now and I agree with one of the reviews that this is Wai’anae’s Best Kept Secret. My children were entering K5 and the second grade. They came from another private school with a completely different curriculum. Both teachers are amazing! It was quite an adjustment for my 2nd grader since he attended his last school the longest and highly sensitive.But his teacher provided him the prayers and emotional support he needed during his adjustment period and he stated to thrive. He has also made good friendships which we love! My daughter has always loved school so she adjust well. I love that she memorizes scripture and loves to pray! The curriculum is challenging for my children yet they teach in such a way that helps the information stick so that they can succeed! It shows in my children’s grades. Both have received principal awards. I would highly recommend MBS. For what your children will receive academically and spiritually the tuition is pretty reasonable. We are forever grateful God placed us here. They really pour into their students academically and spiritually.
