Kau High & Pahala Elementary School

Very friendly and safe campus! Teachers and staff work hard to provide excellent instruction in a high poverty area.

No support from pricipal to teachers. I feel sorry for them. Especially, in elementary. Those teacher's are forgotten about, except for the principal's favorite.

Pahala Elementary School is "EXTREMELY" corrupted! The teachers are unbelievably incompetent and a lot of the teachers have their child or relative students in that school and they only care about protecting their own kind instead of looking out for all students! Kids in the school are extremely undisciplined and bullying is a normal procedure for the kids. And naturally the teachers don't care and don't want to be bothered with any inconvenience to their work, they only care about getting a paycheck! So for the newcomers beware your child will be subject to horrible bullying and assualts by the existing students and the teachers will not protect your child!

When we moved to this district, my daughter had been a straight A student all of her life, and loved going to school, but, now? after only having been here not even a whole school year ,her grades are falling and she hates going to school. She says she is bullied and called names throughout the day because she is white, and the staff doesn't seem to be able to control the situation from happening . We are planning on moving so the kids can go back to their old schools.
