Read what parents are saying about Lahainaluna High SchoolI was a Four Year Boarder at Lahainaluna. I graduated in 2009 with academic honors. I am now attending the University of Montana with academic scholarships. No other school can even come close to Lahainaluna and the tradition that we hold. I came to Lahainaluna at the age of 13 from the Big Island, to become a part of the Boarding Dept. I wouldn't trade my experiances for anything. I became a better person and can now be a contributing citizen to not only the communities of Hawaii, but to the communities of the enitre world.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were scholarship students recently unenrolled. Some staff and teachers are great and this is not indicative of them. The leadership, however, needs to change should this school have any chance of being a safe space that can live up to the values they have listed on their website. There is no room for collaboration or constructive criticism (at least not with scholarship families). Perhaps it is not the case with those paying 20k per year. I brought up 2 instances of harmful behavior. Both times I was treated like I was the problem. As a person who also taught at a University- I know without a doubt the validity of the complaints. Any true leader would have approached these issues differently. Instead, my 9 and 10 year old girls were even removed from a third party dance class on campus by the head of school because someone has a power complex. We had already secured permission from the dance teacher for our daughters to attend after we unenrolled them. I am disgusted that girls feelings do not matter there. I am doubly disgusted that it was me that was painted to be the issue. The campus is beautiful but the academic rigor was not up to par for 5th grade. 2nd grade was great. Many families lack options due to the Lahaina Fire and it is unfortunate that there is no system of accountability at this educational institution. Listen to the coconut wireless on this one- perhaps it’s a safe space for the paying full tuition client or even the students of employees- but tread warily if you are not a member of the hegemonic majority there.Parent Review4mo ago - Sacred Hearts School & Early Learning Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSacred Heart School is more than just a grade school. They prepare all students to be well educated; to be good giving and caring citizens of their community and the nation and the world. Students are taught manners and responsibility for their actions along with respect for ALL others. Though the school's students come from all walks of life they go on to be very successful at local high schools. Testing show that Sacred Hearts graduates generally excel with higher grades and less discipline problems that other students. The school is improving it's science and computer offerings on a regular basis with more planned this year. The teachers and staff truly love the students and are constantly aware of their strengths and weaknesses in order to offer the very best opportunity for them to succeed in life.Other Review10y ago - Mana'o'io Baptist Academy
