Posted by a parent on 1/13/2025Upsetting. Sad to see students handcuffed of becoming an individual and allowing them to be creative. They expect the students to be robots. Many parents very heart broken for their child.

But only 2 of my teachers from my years there are still around, out of the 2 one is on my list of best teachers. She is an amazing teacher that cares

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had two children in this school. They both have had varying experiences based on their teachers. There seems to be a lot of turnover both in the administration (principal, vice principals) and in teachers.My daughters were lucky to both have a compassionate, but skilled teacher who really left an impression on them. One had her as a third grade teacher and one as a second grade teacher. She incorporated mindfulness into the school day and made sure different children received the work they needed. She shared that the philosophy of the school was that homework should be “minimalistic and purposeful”. I appreciated this very much, however, not all the teachers were on this same band wagon. We love the Specials teachers and appreciate that this school values these subjects. We wish they could keep good teachers around. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kid was in kinder with the best teacher. The class size was doable (about 20 kids) and there were some aids for certain students. This school is considered a IB School (International Baccalaureate) which means they have some high quality programs to help create a better world. In kindergarten they learned math, reading, writing, arts and crafts, physical education, Hawaiian studies, nihongo, and STEM projects. Can’t wait for the years to come! I love our school!
