Read what parents are saying about Ridgeview Charter SchoolWe have been very impressed with the teaching staff at RCMS and the overall feel of the school. There is such a wide variety of classes and activities for the students- Orchestra, Band, Chorus and foreign languages are offered as a part of the daily curriculum. The parent-run Foundation provides funding to support extra sports programs as well- including softball, volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, tennis....the list goes on. Everywhere you turn there is something going on and a way for students to try new things. Parents seem very engaged and supportive of the school programs. The IB program at Ridgeview is a huge plus for us as well because we feel it will best prepare our children to participate in the International Baccalaureate degree program available in high school. We feel very fortunate to have such a good public middle school available in our neighborhood.
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2023This was my child’s first year at RCMS and a warm welcome was not given. He was immediately judged and harassed not by students but by teachers. If your child has an IEP I would NOT recommend this school. My child experienced being singled out by staff, his grades were not updated in the system until it was time to turn in grades. Therefore, I did not know my child was missing or having trouble in any class until the very last minute. I sent emails to teachers constantly only to have them harass my child even more. This is not the type of “professionalism” I would expect from a school.
Posted by a parent on 6/14/2023We just finished our 6th grade year at RCMS. It was outstanding! The education is top notch! We could not have asked for a better 1st year of middle school. Each teacher truly loves teaching middle school children. We participated in band, robotics, and a few sports. Each was engaging and each teacher/coach worked on the students as a whole - academic, social, emotional. A gem of a school in Sandy Springs and we are lucky to be a part of this community!

Posted by a parent on 4/21/2023Ridgeview Charter Middle School is a wonderful neighborhood school! The administration and staff are very engaged with students. We are just beginning our middle school journey in the sixth grade but we've been very impressed with the quality of instruction and level of communication from teachers. The music program (band, orchestra and chorus) really stands out among other schools with very high levels of participation. We also love the diversity offered at the school, both ethnic and socioeconomic. Overall, it has been a great experience so far and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ridgeview to anyone in the district. We feel fortunate to be here!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child is thriving here since we went back in person. Great community and teachers and admins who care. Any school these days could use more resources and less complications to deal with but all said and done, the kids are learning a ton, the community is great.Parent Review2y ago - High Point Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHPE is the best! I researched other public/charter options in the area and HPE is by far the best! Dr. Hill is a fast acting principal, who does not allow issues to go unresolved. On most mornings, Dr. Hill greets every student at the front door, by name! My daughter is HF ASD and the special education teachers and support have been top notch! They recommend appropriate accommodations because they have taken the time to get to know my child. The teachers go above and beyond for their students to ensure they are learning in the best learning environment. I can't say enough about HPE! But we love it here!Parent Review1mo ago - Lake Forest Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLake Forest is a hidden gem. We were worried based on some of the stats but the experience inside the walls is top notch. Our kiddos couldn’t be happier and are excelling. We love so many things about Lake Forest, most especially the teachers.Parent Review4y ago - Atlanta Jewish Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family is very new to Atlanta and had never needed to navigate the private school scene in a metropolitan area before. Perhaps some of my poor rating is due to that of the private school scene in Atlanta in general. Nonetheless, we applied to The school after being told there were openings only to then be waitlisted. This was an enormous time effort all to be “waitlisted”. I felt as if the school misled our family by saying there was an opening and just took the application fee. Perhaps some of this is just par for the course in Atlanta, but overall, very poor experience with admissions and expectations. Also, quite devastating as recent transplants to Atlanta. This has been a far from welcoming experience.Parent Review1y ago - St Martins Episcopal School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe just recently started this past year with 1 kid in Toddlers and 1 kid in Pre-K @ SMES and so far we have had a solid starting experience. We have been welcomed with open arms by the school and the diversity is slowly improving. Most importantly, the facilities, teachers, and curriculum are better than we could have dreamed for our kids in their formative years. Time will tell if the values of the school will align with ours but so far so good :-)Parent Review1mo ago
