Coming from the Smith/Sutton cluster we didn’t know what to expect but wow. This is an incredible school focused on each individual child. They quickly identified my child’s academic accomplishments and placed her in a class where she could progress even more. The activities, parental involvement along with IB principles are the icing. Dr. Miller is the most hands on principal I have ever seen. The teachers really care. Many of our neighbors skip the private route because of this school.

Excellent school with excellent and caring teachers. Both our boys go there. They are known by name to everyone and are not just a number. Hope it stays part of our community for many more generations.

Have two kids at Heards Ferry and have been very pleased. Gave it a shot rather than private school and it’s far exceeded all expectations.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at The Mount Vernon School, especially in the Preschool program. From the moment my son started in PK2, we felt wrapped in the most caring, positive, and welcoming environment. My son is now in PK3 and absolutely loves going to school each day. His teachers know him so well and make learning so much fun. We’ve seen huge growth in his confidence, independence, and emotional intelligence!The Mount Vernon community as a whole is warm, welcoming, and truly invested in each child.
